Raw Fabrics Cotton

  • Short Staple: Less than 1 inch (common for lower-quality cotton)  
  • Medium Staple: 1-1.25 inches
  • Long Staple: 1.25-1.5 inches
  • Extra-Long Staple: 1.5 inches or longer (highest quality)
  • Uniformity Index: Measures the consistency of fiber length within a bale of cotton. Higher uniformity leads to more even yarn and fabric.  
  • Tensile Strength: Measures the force required to break a single fiber. Higher strength indicates better durability and tear resistance in the finished fabric.
